Volunteer
Centre East Devon offers a brokerage service
for potential volunteers. This means that we help to
match volunteers with Volunteering Organisations. The
service is open to anyone who is interested in volunteering
in East Devon, and is FREE of charge.
We
can help you to decide what kind of volunteering you
would like to do, answer questions about volunteering,
or provide information on organisations registered
with us. When you start volunteering, we can offer
support and advice to ensure that you have as positive
experience as possible.
We
hold a database of around 250 volunteering opportunities
in the East Devon area and new opportunities are added
regularly.

All
information you give us is treated as confidential,
and will only be discussed with your permission. A
one to one appointment will give you the chance to
tell us about your background, skills, abilities, interests
and any support needs. We will also gather other information
which may be useful such as locations you wish to volunteer
in and how much time you would like to spend. We will
then provide contact information about volunteering
which may suit you.

Volunteers
can make their own enquiries to organisations using
the information provided. You are also welcome to use
the Volunteer Centre phone, or we can make enquiries
on your behalf.

Once
you are in touch with a volunteering organisation,
your relationship will be directly with them. The Volunteer
Centre does not carry out checks or take up references,
so you don't need to supply us with any extra information.
